Originally from Gettysburg, SD, I graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1993. This is my twentieth year at Sibley East as the Middle School Counselor. The Role of the School Counselor: A school counselor is a licensed educator trained in school counseling with qualifications and skills to address all students' academic, personal/social and career development needs. School counselors address the needs of all students through prevention and intervention programs that are a part of a comprehensive school counseling program. School Counselors provide services to students, parents, school staff, and the community. During distance learning counseling services will still be available to all students.
