Parents Right to Know The federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) access to education, sets high standards for academic performance, and demands a rigorous level of accountability from schools and districts. ESEA requires districts receiving Title I funds to notify parents of each student attending a Title I building that they, as parents, may request information regarding the professional qualifications of the student’s classroom teachers and paraprofessionals. All of Sibley East Title I teachers and para professionals are “highly qualified”. Any individual who observes, detects or suspects improper use of taxpayer funds can report suspected fraud or waste to the Office of the Inspector General by calling 1-800-647-8733. This notice is in compliance with Section 9203 of the Elementary and Secondary Education act which requires that recipients of a grant of subgrant under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 display contact information in a public place. Spanish: La Ley federal de Educación Primaria y Secundaria (ESEA) acentúa acceso igual a educación, establece estándares para el rendimiento académico, y demanda un nivel rigoroso de responsabilidad de las escuelas y distritos. ESEA les requiere a los distritos que reciben fondos de Título I notificarle a los padres de cada estudiante asistiendo al edificio de Titulo que ellos, como padres, pueden solicitar información respecto a las calificaciones profesionales de los maestros/as y para profesionales del salón de clase de su estudiantes. Todos los maestros/as de Título I de Sibley East y para profesionales están “altamente calificados”.
